Boys Varsity Baseball · SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Anthony Chinchilla

Anthony Chinchilla has played baseball and football while in high school. His favorite memory is his junior year of baseball. It was one of the most fun seasons he has had while playing baseball and the team had a winning record for the first time in a few years. Anthony was named Honorable Mention in 2019.

Next year Anthony plans to attend Grand Canyon University and major in mechanical engineering. He hopes he is able to play on the club baseball team there as well.

Anthony would like to thank his teammates throughout the years. He would also like to thank his coaches: Trevor Mueller, Greg Lowry, Kyle Wilson, Ben Koerner, and Mark Hills for everything they have done to help him succeed in baseball. He would also like to thank his parents and grandparents for being extremely supportive throughout his life and not just helping him become a better athlete, but become a better person and a leader for his teammates.

Message from the Athletic Director: Anthony, you have been a quiet leader, but a respected leader. I know that your teammates have trusted in you, believed in you, and have learned from you. Your impact in our baseball program will be missed. You are such a good teammate who is coachable, and willing to get better and do what is needed for your teammates.

Bible verse chosen for you: Ephesians 2:8-10 – For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
