Blake Mazurowski has participated in football, track, & basketball while in high school. Blake’s favorite memory of high school sports was his football teams. He loved how close he got with everyone and the fact that he had to play both ways. Blake was named 2nd Team all-league linebacker two times, 1st Team all-league tight end, was a shrine game nominee, a National Football Foundation Scholar Athletes Finalist, was named to the National Christian School Athletic Association far west super team, and was an honorable mention all-state in track.
Blake plans to attend George Fox University in the fall and is going to play football while there. He is planning to become an engineer so he can have a stable job. Blake’s plan for life is to have a family and enjoy them while serving the Lord.
Blake would like to thank his parents for supporting him financially and with their moral support. He would like to thank Jon Roberts, Andrew Jannsen, and Dave Lewis for all of their athletic knowledge and wisdom that helped shape him into the athletes he is today. He would like to specially thank Nathan Rowlett, because of him, Blake is going to play college football. He would not have realized that he was capable of this goal without Nathan.
Message from the Athletic Director: Blake, wow, you have come so far as an athlete and as a person. I remember watching you work so hard at sports as a freshman and you could tell you were motivated to be better. You have such a positive focus on school, sports, family, and faith. Your maturity and leadership will stick with those student-athletes that will follow you.
Bible verse chosen for you: Isaiah 40:28-31 – Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
